Dental Hygienist, General Dentistry & Patient Care
Overview
Own and deliver preventive dental care at scale within a collaborative practice. Partner with the dentist, Clinical Manager, and team to educate patients, assess oral health, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Expect hands-on hygiene duties, radiographs, sealants, and fluoride applications in a patient-centric environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, efficient patient flow, and ongoing professional growth.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build comprehensive dental cleanings including plaque, tartar, and stain removal
- 2Assess patients for oral disease and communicate findings to the dentist
- 3Take process and interpret radiographs in line with safety guidelines
- 4Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants
- 5Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- 6Review and maintain patient medical and dental histories and treatment notes
- 7Support dentists during procedures within the hygienist scope of practice
- 8Ensure patient comfort through communication and professional chairside manner
- 9Maintain infection control sterilization OSHA HIPAA protocols and universal precautions
- 10Collaborate to support efficient patient flow and consistent clinical standards
