What You'll Do7

  • 2Prepare operatories before each patient, sterilize instruments and equipment, and restock supplies to ensure clinical readiness.
  • 3Take and process X-rays with precision, ensuring correct positioning and clear diagnostic images.
  • 4Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care, addressing questions and easing concerns.
  • 5Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to build a seamless, efficient office flow.
  • 6Foster a positive, supportive culture by modeling kindness, empathy, and proactive problem-solving.
  • 7Manage inventory of dental supplies and communicate needs to the office manager.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of dental assisting experience, with proficiency in Digital X-rays and Dentrix preferred.
  • 2Active CPR/BLS certification and Radiology License as required by Illinois state law.
  • 3High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
  • 4Comfort with chairside assisting for procedures such as crowns, extractions, and root canals.
  • 5Proven ability to manage a busy schedule and prioritize tasks in a patient-focused environment.
  • 6Strong communication skills to interact with patients, dentists, and team members.
  • 7Commitment to maintaining sterility and safety standards in all clinical tasks.
  • 8Reliable, punctual, and respectful, with a growth-oriented mindset.
