Join our professional cosmetic dental office in New York as a Dental Assistant supporting a full-time general practice. You'll own chairside assisting, digital X-rays, and infection control for a steady patient flow. Work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM, alongside a supportive team. This long-term role values experience, precision, and patient comfort. You'll use Dentrix and Digital X-ray systems daily. OSHA and CDC guidelines shape every procedure you support.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform four-handed chairside assisting for all general procedures, including crowns and root canals
- 2Capture high-quality digital dental X-rays using Dexis
- 3Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA and CDC protocols
- 4Break down and disinfect operatories after each patient
- 5Assist with restorative, cosmetic, and implant procedures, maintaining a sterile field
- 6Prepare dental materials and instruments, keeping clinical areas organized and stocked
- 7Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- 8Help patients feel comfortable during procedures, delivering compassionate care
- 9Support the doctor efficiently to maintain a productive schedule
Requirements8
- 11+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dental office
- 2Proficiency in four-handed dentistry
- 3Skilled in taking digital dental X-rays
- 4Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
- 5Punctual and dependable with strong organizational skills
- 6Able to multitask in a busy clinical environment
