Overview
You will own the full customer lifecycle at a Mechanics Bank branch in Vancouver, WA, from profiling and account opening to cross-selling and daily teller operations. Working with a team of 6-10 staff, you will serve both retail and business customers, handling transactions and resolving issues. This role stands out for its dual focus on sales and service, with clear performance goals and community engagement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Profile new and existing customers to assess banking and borrowing needs, then recommend appropriate Mechanics Bank products and services.
- 2Open and close accounts including checking, savings, money markets, and IRAs.
- 3Cross-sell bank products and services to meet referral goals and personal performance targets.
- 4Process daily teller transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wire transfers, and debit card requests.
- 5Balance your cash drawer independently and maintain branch cash and vault limits.
- 6Resolve customer issues with tact and diplomacy, escalating when necessary.
- 7Support branch lobby management and participate in two community events per year.
- 8Contribute to branch audits and assist with projects like ATM processing and branch balancing.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of cash handling and customer service experience.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Banking experience preferred, including opening new deposit accounts.
- 4Demonstrated success in cross-selling banking services and products.
- 5Strong customer relations and communication skills, both written and oral.
- 6PC proficiency with Word, Excel, and teller/bank software.
- 7Ability to work accurately under pressure and handle confidential information.
- 8Self-starter with good judgment and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
