Key customer facing representative providing exceptional service handling teller and new accounts duties. Build customer relationships and support branch success.
What You'll Do23
- 1Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently including deposits withdrawals transfers loan payments cashier checks and money orders
- 2Balance cash drawer and maintain proper cash levels throughout the day
- 3Assist with preparing and accepting FED currency shipments weekly
- 4Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act AML and bank policies
- 5Detect and report suspicious activities or fraudulent transactions
- 6Assist customers with account inquiries and routine account maintenance requests
- 7Ensure proper handling of negotiable instruments and cash items
- 8Maintain a professional appearance of the teller area and branch lobby
- 9Open and service consumer and business deposit accounts including checking savings money market accounts CDs and IRAs
- 10Explain account features fees and benefits to customers
- 11Complete all required documentation and ensure compliance with CIP BSA OFAC and other regulatory requirements
- 12Process account changes closures and maintenance requests
- 13Recommend appropriate bank products and services
- 14Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service
- 15Identify opportunities to cross sell deposit products loans treasury services and other bank offerings
- 16Refer customers to lenders wealth management and other bank specialists when appropriate
- 17Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- 18Maintain knowledge of bank products services policies and procedures
- 19Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal controls
- 20Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities
- 21Assist with branch operations and special projects as assigned
- 22Support team members and contribute to a positive branch environment
- 23Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2Minimum one year of banking customer service retail or cash handling experience preferred
- 3Knowledge of deposit products and banking regulations preferred
- 4Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- 5Ability to accurately handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations
- 6Proficient with computer systems and banking software
- 7Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- 8Physical ability to stand and sit for extended periods
- 9Occasional lifting up to fifty pounds
- 10Operate standard office equipment including computers printers and calculators
