Creative Arts Pastor - Worship & Arts Ministry
Overview
You will own the Worship & Arts ministry at Oak Hills Church, a FORMED community of 2,000+ in Folsom, California. You'll lead a team of 50+ volunteers and staff, curate Sunday services, and integrate arts into church life. This role reports directly to the Senior Pastor and partners with senior staff. You'll shape a culture of Christlikeness through worship, arts, and pastoral care.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and lead Sunday worship services, including planning, leading congregational singing, and developing liturgy.
- 2Recruit, train, and pastor Worship Teams, Tech Teams, and Curation Teams to foster spiritual formation.
- 3Curate the Art & Soul Gallery, Arts Camp, and STUDIO programming to integrate visual and performing arts.
- 4Coordinate Intersections Arts & Faith Conference with ACT Intl and local arts organizations.
- 5Manage the worship arts budget, licensing, and projects using Planning Center Online.
- 6Champion current sound, lighting, multimedia, and livestream technologies for services.
- 7Build relationships with Folsom churches, NorCal NAB networks, and community arts groups.
- 8Develop and arrange original music for modern and traditional worship settings.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in music, theology, or related field.
- 25+ years leading worship and arts in a church or ministry context.
- 3Proficiency in keyboard or guitar, with lead vocal ability and formal musical training.
- 4Working knowledge of Planning Center Online, digital audio, video production, and stage lighting.
- 5Deep understanding of worship theology and a theology of the arts.
- 6Demonstrated ability to pastor and mentor creative volunteers and staff.
- 7Strong organizational skills for large-scale events and attention to detail.
- 8Embody a Kingdom-oriented spirituality and a rich worship life.
