We need a cost estimator for our growing business. The role involves leading cost control functions for construction projects including estimates during design and value analysis. What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare construction related cost estimates and cost plans
- 2Conduct change order reviews and valuations
- 3Perform value engineering and life cycle costing studies
- 4Analyze proposals and specifications to identify labor material and time requirements
- 5Compute costs through labor material and time analysis
- 6Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- 7Present prepared estimates using numerical and descriptive displays
- 8Create special reports on trends and data
- 9Maintain cost databases and technical publications
- 10Attend educational workshops to maintain technical knowledge
- 11Collaborate on team duties as assigned
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Civil Mechanical Structural Electrical or Construction Engineering
- 2Experience with conceptual and detailed estimating methods
- 3Knowledge of CMGC GCCM processes and competitive bids
- 4Familiarity with CostX by RIB and BIM modeling software
- 5Security clearance preferred
