Overview
Cook role supporting a Lifespark Senior Living Community with a focus on preparing meals that meet prescribed diet specifications. You will work in a 51-unit facility serving assisted living, independent living, and memory care residents. You will join a compassionate team dedicated to helping residents age magnificently and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation. This role offers part-time morning shifts and opportunities for growth within Lifespark.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and serve meals per planned menus, diet plans, and portions
- 2Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils
- 3Check trays for menu and diet accuracy and arrange proper food storage
- 4Review diet changes and ensure menus follow established procedures
- 5Assist with food preparation and quality control to meet temperature and portion standards
- 6Support team with dining room duties and resident interactions
- 7Maintain compliance with dietary, safety, and sanitation regulations
- 8Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
- 9Assist in inventory and storage of food and supplies
- 10Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment that supports resident well-being
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in a senior living setting preferred
- 3Ability to relate professionally with residents, families, and staff
- 4Advanced computer skills including email usage
