Chef/Cook for Senior Living Community in Minneapolis
Overview
Own food service for a Lifespark Senior Living community serving residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Manage menu adherence, diet specifications, and sanitation at scale within a 54-unit campus. Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to support compassionate dining experiences. This role brings culinary excellence to everyday moments and helps residents age magnificently.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and serve meals per planned menus and diet plans, ensuring portions and temperatures meet standards
- 2Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils to maintain a safe kitchen
- 3Check all trays for menu and diet accuracy and preference and ensure compliance with dietary requirements
- 4Ensure proper storage for food and supplies and maintain inventory controls
- 5Review and process diet changes and adapt menus accordingly while following established procedures
- 6Prepare foods in accordance with facility procedures and dietary regulations
- 7Collaborate with care teams to support residents and families through dining services
- 8Maintain food safety sanitation and regulatory guidelines across daily operations
- 9Support kitchen staff with training and coaching to improve service quality
- 10Monitor quality and presentation of plated meals to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in a senior living setting is preferred
- 3Must be able to relate professionally and cooperatively with residents families and employees
- 4Must possess advanced computer skills including email use
- 5Willingness to work full-time 32 hours per week 10am-6:30pm and every other weekend
- 6Ability to prepare meals according to prescribed diet specifications
