Chef/Cook leadership role within a Lifespark Senior Living Community at Cardigan Ridge in Little Canada MN. Own food preparation aligned to resident diets, safety standards, and quality expectations at scale across Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. Collaborate with a growing team of culinary professionals to deliver nourishing meals that support residents aging magnificently. What You'll Do11

  • 1Build and serve meals per planned menus and diet plans while maintaining portion control and temperature standards
  • 2Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils to ensure sanitary compliance
  • 3Check trays for menu, diet requirements, and preference accuracy and adjust as needed
  • 4Ensure proper storage for food and supplies to minimize waste and maximize freshness
  • 5Review and process diet changes and ensure menus follow established procedures
  • 6Lead kitchen operations during shifts and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high service standards
  • 7Collaborate with dietary team to ensure menu adherence and resident satisfaction
  • 8Monitor inventory and assist with ordering to support meal production
  • 9Maintain compliance with dietary and sanitary regulations and Lifespark policies
  • 10Support resident and family interactions with professionalism and empathy
  • 11Support a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork to enhance resident experience

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2Experience in a senior living setting preferred
  • 3Ability to relate professionally with residents, families, and staff
  • 4Advanced computer skills including email use
  • 5Must be onsite in Minneapolis MN on a contract basis
  • 6Availability for Full-Time or Part-Time schedules
  • 7Willingness to work in a senior living environment with compassion and respect
  • 8Must be able to prepare and serve food in accordance with prescribed diets and procedures
  • 9Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established dietary procedures
