Chef/Cook leadership role within a Lifespark Senior Living Community at Cardigan Ridge in Little Canada MN. What You'll Do11
- 1Build and serve meals per planned menus and diet plans while maintaining portion control and temperature standards
- 2Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils to ensure sanitary compliance
- 3Check trays for menu, diet requirements, and preference accuracy and adjust as needed
- 4Ensure proper storage for food and supplies to minimize waste and maximize freshness
- 5Review and process diet changes and ensure menus follow established procedures
- 6Lead kitchen operations during shifts and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high service standards
- 7Collaborate with dietary team to ensure menu adherence and resident satisfaction
- 8Monitor inventory and assist with ordering to support meal production
- 9Maintain compliance with dietary and sanitary regulations and Lifespark policies
- 10Support resident and family interactions with professionalism and empathy
- 11Support a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork to enhance resident experience
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in a senior living setting preferred
- 3Ability to relate professionally with residents, families, and staff
- 4Advanced computer skills including email use
- 5Must be onsite in Minneapolis MN on a contract basis
- 6Availability for Full-Time or Part-Time schedules
- 7Willingness to work in a senior living environment with compassion and respect
- 8Must be able to prepare and serve food in accordance with prescribed diets and procedures
- 9Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established dietary procedures
