The CFO seeks an experienced Controller Consultant to lead financial operations for construction clients across the Bay Area. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead accounting and financial operations for multiple clients
- 2Oversee month-end and year-end close financial reporting and reconciliation
- 3Support construction clients with job costing WIP reporting revenue recognition and project profitability
- 4Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
- 5Improve accounting processes internal controls reporting and financial systems
- 6Partner with executives to deliver financial insight and decision support
- 7Remain hands-on with journal entries reconciliations schedules and reporting
- 8Support clients across diverse industries including construction real estate technology SaaS manufacturing professional services distribution and nonprofit
- 9Drive optimization of accounting practices and implement scalable solutions
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 2Strong Controller Assistant Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
- 3Significant construction accounting experience preferred
- 4Deep knowledge of job costing WIP project accounting revenue recognition and GAAP standards
- 5Proven ability to lead close and prepare financial statements
- 6Experience collaborating across multiple companies and industries
- 7Excellent client-facing communication skills
- 8Ability to quickly adapt to new clients systems and accounting environments
- 9Travel capability throughout Bay Area client locations
- 105+ years of relevant professional experience
