Construction Project Engineer, Construction in Phoenix
Overview
Own and support commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout at a hands-on level in a collaborative Phoenix team. Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, design teams, and subcontractors to keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward. Develop technical coordination and project management skills across tenant improvements, multifamily, mixed-use, and corporate facilities.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and coordinate project information with architects, owners, subcontractors, and field teams to keep plans current
- 2Prepare, review, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, punch lists, and closeout documentation
- 3Assist with bid packages, procurement, bid analysis, buyouts, constructability reviews, permit tracking, and contract documentation
- 4Review drawings, specifications, schedules, materials, and project documentation to ensure alignment with plans, codes, and safety requirements
- 5Track subcontractor progress, material deliveries, quality control items, and project updates while communicating risks or concerns to the Project Manager or Superintendent
Requirements5
- 13-5 years building in commercial construction environments
- 2Experience coordinating with architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field teams
- 3Exposure to preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout phases
- 4Ability to review drawings, specifications, and project documentation for compliance
- 5Proven track record coordinating RFIs, submittals, and change orders
