Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Construction
Overview
You own the full lifecycle of large-scale mechanical construction projects in Phoenix, from preconstruction to closeout, delivering on schedule and within budget. Lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage contracts and subcontracts, and drive financial performance for a portfolio of complex builds. You'll report to executive leadership and mentor project staff, making this a strategic leadership role with direct impact on profitability. What You'll Do8
- 1Build and lead project teams through all construction phases, setting clear objectives at preconstruction turnover.
- 2Drive project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring milestones are met and teams are staffed.
- 3Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and control spending to maintain profitability from start to closeout.
- 4Negotiate contracts and change orders, and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy.
- 5Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment to keep schedules on track and costs in line.
- 6Own client relationships, serving as the primary contact for owners, contractors, and consultants.
- 7Mitigate risks by managing RFIs, submittals, permits, and compliance, and documenting changes and delays.
- 8Mentor Project Managers and field leadership, fostering a culture of safety and quality on every site.
Requirements7
- 115+ years of construction project management experience with increasing responsibility.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3Proven experience delivering large-scale mechanical, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- 4Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and procurement.
- 5Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- 6Expertise in scheduling, project controls, and financial management for construction.
- 7Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of client satisfaction.
