Construction Observer Manager, Field Inspection & Safety

You will own field inspection coordination and contract enforcement for construction projects across the Midwest. What You'll Do8
- 1Coordinate all field inspection activities, interpreting specifications and working drawings to convey intent to contractors.
- 2Enforce contract documents, ensuring compliance with project plans and INDOT standards.
- 3Supervise testing and sampling, including compaction, asphalt, concrete, and aggregate inspections.
- 4Collect and verify field data, maintaining organized records and daily reports.
- 5Drive schedule updates with the Project Manager, addressing changes and work flow issues.
- 6Review installed quantities to validate payment requests and progress.
- 7Administer UST and AHERA programs, meeting EPA certification requirements as needed.
- 8Implement public health and safety protocols, including 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years experience, or Associate's degree with 6+ years.
- 2Hold certifications in compaction, asphalt, concrete, or aggregate testing.
- 3Complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training for hazardous waste remediation inspection.
- 4Obtain 40-hour AHERA EPA building inspector/management planner certification.
- 5Possess INDOT construction inspection prequalification, or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
- 6Earn CESSWI certification, or ability to obtain.
- 7Demonstrate ability to supervise field staff and enforce safety protocols.
Salary Insight
$80 - $115k per year
