What You'll Do16
- 1Perform engineering and construction assignments applying specialized technical expertise independently
- 2Exercise professional judgment in autonomous decisions
- 3Manage inspection and testing personnel on multiple projects
- 4Coordinate and schedule field activities
- 5Assist in developing proposals change orders budgets contract management report review
- 6Review new procedures and coordinate activity startup
- 7Conduct constructability reviews on transportation projects
- 8Provide technical support for construction services operations
- 9Determine testing and inspection requirements from plans and specifications
- 10Report results to supervisor or client representative
- 11Maintain all test result records and daily reports
- 12Recognize unusual test results or site conditions and report them
- 13Offer constructive suggestions for possible corrections
- 14Perform work safely following the Health and Safety Plan
- 15Participate in business development and proposal preparation
- 16Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2Professional Engineer PE required
- 315 or more years of construction engineering experience in transportation systems
- 4Experience with MDOT and LAP’s plans specifications practices
- 5Valid driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 7Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- 8Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- 9Leadership potential for mentoring less experienced staff
- 10Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- 11Proficiency in project management fundamentals
Salary Insight
$140 - $170k per year
