What You'll Do6

  • 1Review, triage, organize, and analyze large construction litigation case files, including electronic document productions.
  • 2Prepare detailed case summaries, timelines, matrices, and analyses of alleged defects, project history, damages, repairs, parties, and scope of work.
  • 3Examine contracts, subcontracts, change orders, invoices, plans, specifications, inspection reports, photographs, correspondence, expert reports, discovery materials, and deposition testimony.
  • 4Identify key facts, missing documents, inconsistencies, causation issues, and potential liability, and allocate responsibility among contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other parties.
  • 5Support attorneys and experts in preparing for depositions, mediations, inspections, settlement discussions, expert analysis, and trial preparation.
  • 6Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential case records across multiple complex litigation matters and update analysis as cases develop.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years in construction defect, insurance defense, or construction consulting litigation analysis.
  • 24 years of experience with construction document review and case analysis.
  • 3Experience with electronic document production platforms such as Relativity or Summation.
  • 4Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and defect causation.
  • 5Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into clear, actionable case summaries.
  • 6Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and case matrices.
  • 7Excellent written and verbal communication for attorney and expert collaboration.
  • 8Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and case organization skills.
