Overview

Lead a comprehensive wellness and recreation program for a multi-service senior living community with a focus on independent living, assisted living, and memory care at Cardigan Ridge. Own the development, organization, and coordination of activities that align with residents’ physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, vocational, and environmental well-being. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and oversee a daily Community Life program including evenings and weekends to meet resident interests
  • 2Procure and manage equipment and supplies with accessible storage for ongoing program delivery
  • 3Lead orientation, training, and staff development activities to maintain compliance and high service standards
  • 4Communicate program details and cultivate positive relationships with tenants, families, and volunteers
  • 5Train and motivate team members while serving as a role model and mentor
  • 6Foster Family and Community involvement through newsletters, networking, and activities that bring in family members and community partners
  • 7Contribute to quality of life and care through participation in care conferences, QAPI, and department head meetings
  • 8Attend and participate in service meetings and in-service education to ensure ongoing program excellence
  • 9Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate wellness programming into daily resident life
  • 10Monitor program outcomes and adjust offerings to meet evolving resident needs and preferences

Requirements7

  • 1High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2Professional experience in health care of at least 2 years
  • 3Ability to design and implement a daily program that includes evenings and weekends
  • 4Strong communication and relationship-building skills with tenants, families, and volunteers
  • 5Willingness to train and mentor staff and act as a positive role model
  • 6Compassionate approach and desire to make a difference in residents' lives
