Overview

Own the development and execution of wellness, recreation, and activity services for a 140-unit senior living community. Scale programs to meet Physical Social Intellectual Emotional Spiritual Vocational and Environmental well being for each resident. Collaborate with tenants families and volunteers to create meaningful experiences and cultivate a vibrant community.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain a daily Community Life program including evenings and weekends
  • 2Design and procure equipment and supplies ensuring accessible organized storage
  • 3Deliver orientation training in service education activities and staff meetings to maintain compliance
  • 4Communicate programs and cultivate positive relationships with tenants family and volunteers
  • 5Coach and motivate staff acting as a role model and mentor
  • 6Foster Family and Community engagement through newsletters networking and activities inviting family members and community members into the building
  • 7Contribute to quality of life and quality of care by participating in care conferences QAPI and department head meetings
  • 8Collaborate on community life initiatives that support wellness recreation and resident engagement
  • 9Coordinate resources to support a comprehensive Recreation Wellness Assessment for each tenant
  • 10Ensure ongoing program evaluation and adjust offerings to meet diverse resident interests and needs

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2Professional experience in health care of at least 2 years
  • 3Ability to train and motivate others while acting as a role model and mentor
  • 4Strong communication skills with tenants family and volunteers
  • 5Compassionate and driven to make a difference in residents lives
  • 6Willingness to work evenings weekends and provide program coverage
  • 7Experience coordinating activities and programs in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • 8Commitment to equality and respect for all residents and staff
  • 9Ability to organize storage and manage equipment and supplies
  • 10Desire to contribute to community and family engagement and quality of life
