Commercial Estimator
Overview
Lead Estimator at Anveta Inc in Pittsburgh, PA coordinates budget estimates based on site visits and hard bid estimates. Reports directly to the Chief Estimator and supports construction phases. Reviews subcontractor pricing and scope sheets. Works with multiple projects and provides timely bid submissions.

- 2Prepares estimates proposals and accompanying cost information
- 3Operates computerized bidding systems with precision
- 4Addresses bid requests promptly and professionally
- 5Determines project duration and dollar value
- 6Reviews subcontractor lists and monitors bid solicitation progress
- 7Coordinates project turn-over meetings with background information
- 8Evaluates vendor and subcontractor bids for completeness
- 9Develops subcontractor lists for bid solicitation
- 10Responsible for entire bid process from inception to submission
- 11Provides interaction with accounting operations human resources and other groups
Requirements7
- 15+ years commercial project estimating
- 2Willingness to travel 25%
- 3Bachelor's degree in civil engineering architecture or construction management
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 5Experience with Timberline estimating software preferred
- 6Strong math communication and time management skills
- 7Experience with restaurants schools car dealerships office spaces ground up buildings retail spaces multi-unit housing
