CNC Programmer & Machinist, HAAS & Mastercam
Overview
You will program and machine precision components for aerospace and automotive clients at a Melrose Park, IL shop. 5+ years of CNC experience with HAAS or Miltronics machines is standard. You will join a 30-person team working 1st or 2nd shift. Mastercam skills drive your daily work. You will own setups, toolpaths, and quality checks from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Program HAAS and Miltronics mills and lathes using Mastercam for 3-5 axis jobs
- 2Set up CNC machines, including fixturing, tooling, and offsets, and verify first articles
- 3Operate CNC mills and lathes to hold tight tolerances, measuring with calipers and micrometers
- 4Debug programs and adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths to optimize cycle times
- 5Inspect finished parts against blueprints and quality standards, documenting results
- 6Collaborate with engineers and lead machinists to improve manufacturing processes
- 7Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols
- 8Train junior machinists on setup and operation of CNC equipment

- 15+ years of CNC programming experience with HAAS or Miltronics machines
- 2Mastercam programming experience required
- 3Experience with 3-5 axis CNC machines
- 4Comfortable with CNC setup and changeover
- 5For machinist role: 3+ years of CNC operating experience
- 6Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers and micrometers
- 7CNC setup experience preferred but not required for machinist role
- 8Skilled candidates with less than 5 years will be considered
