CNC Operator, Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Overview
The CNC Operator will program and operate a range of CNC machines at scale to produce aerospace grade components. You will interpret blueprints, set up tooling, and verify tolerances to GD&T standards in a fast paced environment. This role supports a precision manufacturing team focused on safety, reliability and high quality parts for defense and aerospace applications. You will join a collaborative in person manufacturing facility with opportunities for growth and skill development.
What You'll Do7
- 1Set up and operate CNC machines including milling machines lathes stamping presses press brake and other equipment to produce aerospace grade components
- 2Program CNC machines using CAM software and tune parameters for optimal performance
- 3Interpret blueprints and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate machining
- 4Measure dimensions with calipers micrometers gauges and other instruments to verify GD&T tolerances
- 5Troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
- 6Maintain a clean and safe work environment and handle materials responsibly
- 7Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks tooling setup and packaging of finished parts
Requirements6
- 1Experience operating CNC milling machines and lathes with precision
- 2Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
- 3Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
- 4Proficiency with CAM programming software
- 5Basic math skills and shop math knowledge
- 6Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments
