Overview

Own programming setup and inspection for precision CNC parts at a first-shift, 4,10hr days schedule. You will develop machining programs, prepare machines, and ensure parts meet GD&T specifications in a collaborative AS9100 certified shop. This role focuses on ownership of complete machining processes and continuous shop floor advancement.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build CNC programs using Mazatrol and CAM software to optimize cycle times and tool life
  • 2Design efficient machining strategies and verify against drawings and GD&T requirements
  • 3Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs and load tooling and fixtures
  • 4Operate machines to produce conforming parts and monitor performance for adjustments
  • 5Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators to ensure spec compliance
  • 6Document inspection results and production data for traceability
  • 7Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and leadership to drive improvements
  • 8Identify non-conforming parts or process issues and escalate as needed
  • 9Troubleshoot machining issues and propose tooling, fixturing, and process changes
  • 10Maintain organized, safe work areas and clear setup documentation

Requirements10

  • 15+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 2Experience programming CNC machines and reading GD&T
  • 3Ability to read technical drawings and interpret setup documentation
  • 4Experience performing machine setups and prove-outs
  • 5Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parameters
  • 6Experience using precision measuring equipment and performing in-process inspections
  • 7Preferred experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls
  • 8Preferred experience with CAM software such as Mastercam
  • 9Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing environments || 0
  • 10Detail-oriented and quality-focused with strong problem-solving skills
