What You'll Do10

  • 1Operate a variety of CNC mills and lathes including Mori Seiki, Kitamura, and Robodrills with Fanuc controllers to produce parts
  • 2Run production jobs for Space X and similar aerospace and defense programs
  • 3Perform basic G and M code edits at the machine to adjust feeds speeds and tool paths
  • 4Change tools and monitor wear to maintain part quality and machine efficiency
  • 5Troubleshoot CNC alarms dimensional discrepancies and surface finish issues
  • 6Load parts from blueprints and setup sheets set up workholding and verify correct program selection
  • 7Maintain a clean and organized work area and document quality checks
  • 8Collaborate with team to meet production schedules and part tolerances
  • 9Assist in first article inspections using basic measurement tools
  • 10Adhere to safety and quality procedures to minimize scrap and downtime

Requirements5

  • 16 months to 3 years CNC operating experience or completion of a trade school program in machining or a related field
  • 2Hands-on experience operating CNC mills or CNC lathes in a production environment
  • 3Experience with Haas mills and turning centers in a production setting
  • 4Ability to inspect parts using micrometers calipers gauges CMMs and other precision instruments
  • 5Trade school degree or formal training in CNC machining or related discipline
