CNC Machinist, Precision Milling & Turning
Overview
A cutting edge CNC Machinist role focused on high precision parts at scale. You will set up and operate milling and turning centers, inspect against tight specifications, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Work with a team in a clean, large machine shop environment onsite in Hillsboro OR. This position blends hands on machining with process development to improve throughput and quality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and set up CNC milling and turning centers per complex blueprints
- 2Operate CNC machines and grinders to produce high precision parts
- 3Measure first article and in process parts to ensure conformance and document results in ERP
- 4Design and implement tooling and methods for challenging parts to improve efficiency
- 5Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and scrap
- 6Maintain a clean safe workspace and follow all safety protocols
- 7Assist in developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts
- 8Communicate clear progress and issues with team and leadership
- 9Adhere to ITAR compliance and customer specifications
- 10Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve dimensional issues
Requirements10
- 13+ years of Machinist experience
- 2High school degree or equivalent plus advanced training
- 3ITAR compliance
- 4Excellent attention to detail
- 5Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
- 6Basic computer skills
- 7Problem solving abilities
- 8Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc
- 9Mastery of basic math operations
- 10Strong teamwork and communication skills
