You will own the architecture and delivery of multi-vendor storage solutions for an enterprise environment, serving 8+ years of experience in Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and Elastic Cloud Storage at a 12-month onsite contract in Downey, CA. Your stack includes Cisco MDS director switches and modern SAN fabrics. You will drive storage design, implementation, and support across critical systems. This contract focuses on hands-on engineering and cross-team collaboration, not just high-level strategy.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and Elastic Cloud Storage architectures in the first 90 days
- 2Configure and manage Cisco MDS director switches for SAN and FC fabrics
- 3Lead storage capacity planning and performance tuning for enterprise workloads
- 4Document and enforce storage standards for RAID, Snapshots, and Data Replication
- 5Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage incidents across multi-vendor environments
- 6Collaborate with network and server teams to integrate storage with VMware and Kubernetes
- 7Drive migration and upgrade projects for PowerMax and PowerScale systems
- 8Optimize data backup and recovery using NetWorker and Avamar

- 18+ years designing and supporting multi-vendor storage solutions
- 25+ years with Cisco MDS director switches
- 35+ years with Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and Elastic Cloud Storage
- 45+ years with EMC storage replication and Data Domain
- 53+ years with VMware and SAN integration
- 6Cisco Data Center certifications such as CCIE or CCNP preferred
- 7B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- 8Experience with NetWorker and Avamar backup solutions
