What You'll Do11
- 1Administer occupational therapy treatment according to the plan of care under OT supervision
- 2Implement individualized treatment plans addressing physical social spiritual cultural educational and age specific needs
- 3Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- 4Participate in discharge planning and involve patients and families in decision making
- 5Provide patient education and document progress using standardized departmental protocols
- 6Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to modify treatment goals
- 7Document assessments and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly
- 8Adapt to varying caseloads and shift schedules while maintaining high-quality care
- 9Supervise Therapy Technicians and COTA students ensuring compliance with departmental policies
- 10Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental process improvements
- 11Interact with internal and external healthcare partners regarding patient care coordination
Requirements8
- 1Graduated from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- 2Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the state of practice
- 3BLS certification
- 4Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for Banner Home Care AZ positions
- 55+ years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
- 6Proficiency with Python AWS and React for data analysis and reporting
- 7Familiarity with Spark and Airflow for ETL pipeline development
- 8Strong understanding of CPC Card standards and BCBA certification requirements
