CCTV and Access Control Installation Technician
Overview
BeeKeeper Technologies LLC seeks experienced team‑oriented CCTV IP and Access Control Installation Technicians to install service and commission commercial security systems across diverse environments. This role drives zero call‑backs through proactive maintenance and contributes to strategic technical planning for new and expansion projects.
What You'll Do11
- 1Service and troubleshoot access control systems and supporting field devices
- 2Perform scheduled preventive maintenance including inspection testing cleaning calibration and firmware updates
- 3Assist with strategic technical planning for new installations and expansions
- 4Plan basic install activities such as rough‑in device layout cable routing labeling and as‑built updates
- 5Mount aim focus IP cameras set IPs program streams and validate live recorded quality in VMS
- 6Terminate and label Cat6/Cat6A cables handle basic fiber splicing and termination
- 7Set switch port VLAN PoE profiles use ping LLDP and packet captures for triage
- 8Rack patch set static addresses verify storage health and apply approved updates
- 9Present professional image wear company uniforms and maintain safety procedures
- 10Maintain strong customer relationships complete cloud based service notes with imagery
- 11Stay current on industry technology and complete required manufacturer training
Requirements11
- 1Experience installing and servicing commercial grade intrusion access control and CCTV IP video systems
- 2Proficiency with NVRs layer 2/3 networks CCTV IP physical security systems static addressing subnets DHCP VLANs PoE IGMP snooping
- 3Field familiarity with enterprise platforms Avigilon Unity/ACC Avigilon ACM Unity Access LenelS2 Genetec AXIS
- 4Comfort with CCTV commissioning adding cameras to VMS setting retention schedules and validating image quality
- 5Ability to read and interpret drawings follow runbooks SOPs and produce clean labeled work
- 6Pass drug test zero tolerance for substance abuse
- 7Must pass mandatory background check for licensing requirements
- 8Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record capable of passing CJIS eligibility screenings
- 9Physical ability to climb ladders up to 24 ft and lift/carry up to 75 lb
- 10On‑call rotation availability for after‑hours weekend emergency response
