
Case Manager - Felony Alternatives to Incarceration
Overview
The Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Case Manager to lead the Manhattan Felony Alternative to Incarceration Court. This role reports to the Senior Social Worker and manages clinical case management for participants. What You'll Do17
- 1Provide comprehensive case management services to ATI participants addressing substance use mental health trauma housing and vocational needs
- 2Make appropriate community-based referrals for social service needs
- 3Manage and monitor compliance with service mandates including care coordination
- 4Provide written updates for court stakeholders regarding all participants
- 5Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and coordinate with court staff on non-compliance issues
- 6Attend court sessions to assist clients with navigation and collaboration
- 7Collaborate with stakeholders including prosecutors defense attorneys and programmatic staff
- 8Assist with scheduling assessments and intake processes
- 9Request and review records while ensuring accuracy in the electronic case management system
- 10Conduct toxicology testing and reporting as needed
- 11Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- 12Offer voluntary referrals to community-based services
- 13Assist with development of new initiatives and evidence-based interventions
- 14Provide clinical services voluntarily post-mandate
- 15Participate in clinical group supervision staff meetings and trainings
- 16Attend evening community-based meetings and events
- 17Support programmatic and administrative tasks for Manhattan Justice activities
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree or 3-4 years social service experience
- 2Experience in court or criminal justice settings preferred
- 3Experience with drug/alcohol treatment mental health co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed approaches preferred
- 4Bilingual English Spanish preferred
- 5Strong organizational and time management skills
- 6Commitment to holistic strengths-based approaches
- 7Experience with NYC community resources
- 8Eligibility to work in the United States
- 9Ability to attend evening community events
- 10Understanding of community-based resources and referral networks
Salary Insight
$52 - $64k per year
