What You'll Do9
- 1Lead and manage a team of National Freight Brokers and Leads ensuring performance targets are met
- 2Negotiate rates cover loads and build relationships with carriers
- 3Oversee launch and operational setup of new Total Logistics location including staffing infrastructure and compliance
- 4Develop and implement strategic plans to grow carrier networks improve gross profit margins
- 5Monitor team KPIs such as call volumes load coverage and carrier relationships
- 6Collaborate with senior leadership to align logistics operations with company goals
- 7Ensure compliance with company policies and federal state regulations
- 8Provide coaching training and career development for team members
- 9Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage
Requirements9
- 1Proven leadership experience in logistics or freight brokerage
- 2Strong organizational and communication skills
- 3Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 4Proficiency in logistics systems like AS400 and Microsoft Office Suite
- 5High level of initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- 63-5 years of experience in logistics transportation or carrier sales
- 7Experience opening or managing new operational locations
- 8Familiarity with Total Logistics 3PL and brokerage operations
- 9Familiarity with AS400 API and EDI
