What You'll Do10
- 1Observe Telemetry Monitors and recognize cardiac arrhythmias
- 2Record telemetry strips each shift and distribute them to units
- 3Interpret rhythms and measure intervals accurately
- 4Maintain confidentiality and protect patient rights
- 5Answer telephone calls and call lights promptly
- 6Present professionally and show sensitivity to patient concerns
- 7Perform telemetry functions and maintain required unit logs
- 8Prepare and organize telemetry units for patient use
- 9Clean and maintain equipment ensuring proper battery installation
- 10Report broken or defective equipment to manager and biomedical team
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Basic Life Support certification
- 3Previous experience as a monitor technician in acute care
- 4Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- 5Ability to multitask effectively
- 6Proficiency in computer systems
- 7Knowledge of medical terminology
- 8Personal time management skills
- 9Experience with telemetry equipment
