What You'll Do11
- 1Verify clinician orders and gather clinical histories to ensure accurate diagnostic procedures
- 2Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely while minimizing patient discomfort and complications
- 3Maintain strict patient privacy and ensure dignity during examinations
- 4Set up and operate advanced imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality studies
- 5Document procedures thoroughly and communicate findings promptly to physicians
- 6Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- 7Train new hires and mentor colleagues in nuclear medicine protocols
- 8Perform daily equipment maintenance and adhere to infection control standards
- 9Explain procedures to patients using clear language to reduce anxiety
- 10Report equipment issues immediately and document resolutions
- 11Balance independent work with teamwork to meet clinical goals efficiently
Requirements9
- 1Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program
- 2ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or equivalent Nuclear Medicine Tech credential
- 3Current BLS certification with instructors
- 4Minimum 1 year clinical experience in nuclear medicine
- 5Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with imaging equipment
- 6Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- 7Ability to function independently under pressure while maintaining teamwork
- 8Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- 9Commitment to patient privacy and ethical healthcare practices
