What You'll Do11
- 1Perform nuclear medicine exams to generate organ images and support physician diagnoses
- 2Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for therapeutic diagnostic and tracer studies
- 3Map radiopharmaceuticals within patient bodies using advanced imaging equipment
- 4Maintain image technical quality through calibration and troubleshooting
- 5Analyze biological specimens and prepare data for clinical interpretation
- 6Enter monitor patient information systems and ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- 7Assist with ACR accreditation applications and manage quality assurance protocols
- 8Report incidents complaints or equipment failures to department leadership promptly
- 9Handle emergency calls and coordinate immediate patient care responses
- 10Uphold Memorial Hermann policies while promoting personal professional development
- 11Mentor junior staff serve as preceptor and advocate for compassionate patient experiences
Requirements6
- 1Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology program
- 2Certified by ARRT-N or NMTCB with current Texas Medical Board license
- 3Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist status via ARRT-N or NMTCB
- 4One year of diagnostic CT experience preferred
- 5Experience with PET/CT scanners and SPECT imaging systems
- 6Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and safety regulations
