What You'll Do10
- 1Observes Telemetry Monitors
- 2Recognizes cardiac arrhythmias and reports promptly
- 3Records telemetry strips each shift and ensures 12 hour strips are printed
- 4Accurately interprets rhythms and measures intervals
- 5Presents self professionally while showing sensitivity to patient concerns
- 6Performs telemetry functions and maintains required unit dispensation records
- 7Prepares each telemetry unit for patient use and cleans equipment upon return
- 8Reports broken or defective equipment immediately to Manager and Biomed Team
- 9Supports unit performance improvement initiatives
- 10Uses evidence based practice to guide patient care decisions
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Basic Life Support certification
- 3Previous experience as monitor technician in acute care setting
- 4Ability to read write and speak English fluently
- 5Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
