What You'll Do8
- 1Analyze and interpret ECG rhythms according to procedures to ensure accurate patient care
- 2Maintain continuous ECG monitoring during patient transport and assessments
- 3Clean and service telemetry equipment while documenting monitor accountability
- 4Demonstrate proficiency with central and bedside monitoring systems
- 5Manage alarm settings and ensure appropriate levels are maintained
- 6Execute additional tasks such as video monitoring and order entry
- 7Collaborate with nursing staff to report critical changes to the registered nurse
- 8Perform other unit-specific duties as directed by supervisors
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED or 1-3 months relevant experience
- 2Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or completion of training program after hiring
- 3CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- 4Equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5Preference for EMS or CMA credentials
- 6Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- 7Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
