EKG Technician I Job at Boston Scientific - South San Francisco
Overview
This role owns the interpretation and reporting of EKG data from patients wearing monitoring devices, supporting physicians in diagnosis at scale. You will work in the Cardiac Monitoring Event Center, processing and analyzing real-time cardiac data, and coordinating with teams to ensure accurate patient care. You will use EKG analysis skills and CCT/CRAT certifications to excel. This position stands out with sign-on and certification bonuses, plus shift differentials.
What You'll Do8
- 1Process, analyze, and edit EKG data from monitoring devices to ensure accurate patient records.
- 2Collect recordings and patient symptoms, and facilitate activation of EMS when indicated.
- 3Document actions precisely within patient records, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- 4Facilitate orders for monitors and supplies, and obtain patient transmissions and related symptoms.
- 5Recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and communicate findings promptly to the appropriate team member.
- 6Ensure customer enrollment is entered correctly and address questions from patients, practices, and sales staff.
- 7Fax serious and critical reports to practices and hospitals as requested.
- 8Retain job-specific information on safety policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements8
- 11 year of experience with a high school diploma or an EKG certification.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Formal EKG education from a certified program or third-party certification.
- 4CET (Certified EKG Technician) certification from a college or community college.
- 5CCT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification.
- 6CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification.
- 7Working experience in a hospital or IDTF after receiving CET or other certifications.
- 8Hospital telemetry experience interpreting monitor strips and sharing information with doctors.
