Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Overview
The RN will own critical care nursing for cardiovascular surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU at scale. You will collaborate with surgeons and intensivists to drive patient recovery pathways and monitor complex hemodynamics. Onsite talent will contribute to post-operative plans and ventilator management in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Monitor patients recovering from cardiac surgery and manage chest tubes drains and pacing wires
- 2Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring and titrate vasoactive and inotropic medications
- 3Manage mechanical ventilation and assist with weaning protocols
- 4Recognize and respond to signs of cardiac tamponade arrhythmia or hemodynamic instability
- 5Collaborate with surgeons intensivists and other disciplines on post operative care plan and document patient response

- 2Current RN license in state of practice Required
- 3BLS certification Required

- 51-2 years of ICU or cardiovascular nursing experience Preferred
