What You'll Do11
- 1Build and maintain ventilator circuits using BiPAP/AVAPS and assist with intubation/extubation
- 2Design and execute sedation protocols for patients on mechanical ventilation
- 3Lead multidisciplinary rounds with neurology and cardiac teams
- 4Interpret invasive hemodynamic data including CO CI SVV CVP SvO2
- 5Coordinate care for septic shock and acute respiratory distress syndrome patients
- 6Perform and manage central line placements and arterial line insertions
- 7Implement prone positioning strategies with paralytic management
- 8Assist with thoracentesis and tube thoracostomy procedures
- 9Conduct daily assessments and adjust ventilator settings based on patient response
- 10Maintain sterile technique during bedside procedures and medication administration
- 11Document all interventions and ensure compliance with stroke center protocols
Requirements10
- 15+ years ICU nursing experience with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing ventilated patients
- 3Active IL RN license required
- 4Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- 5Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- 6NIHSS certification required
- 7Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, CDC resource, or similar
- 8Epic EMR experience
- 9Preferred open heart surgery experience (CABG, valve surgeries, AAA)
- 10Preferred comprehensive stroke experience (EVD, thrombectomy, TNK)
