Cable Harness Assembler, IPC Class 3 & Electromechanical
Overview
You will build, wire, test, and inspect cable harnesses and electromechanical assemblies for aerospace and defense programs at Trispoke Managed Services Pvt. Ltd. in Orlando, FL. This is a 12-month contract-to-hire role on a 4/10 schedule, paying $21.00–$24.00/hour on W2. You will own the full assembly process from blueprint to final test, following IPC Class 3 standards. You will work with a tight-knit team of assemblers and engineers, with opportunities for certification upgrades and long-term employment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build cable harnesses from wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, form boards, and BOMs, ensuring compliance with IPC Class 3 workmanship standards.
- 2Perform soldering, wire stripping, crimping, connector insertion, contact plugging, cable routing, and backshell torqueing for complex electromechanical assemblies.
- 3Assemble and wire power-distribution load boxes, control panels, joysticks, modules, and rack subassemblies, including installing LEDs, push buttons, switches, connectors, and fasteners.
- 4Complete mechanical assembly using threaded fasteners, rivets, adhesives, and torque-controlled tightening, per engineering specifications.
- 5Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, torque tools, and test equipment to fabricate and validate assemblies.
- 6Run continuity checks, functional tests, and workmanship inspections, documenting results in the MRP system.
- 7Rework or modify prototype assemblies per WHMA-A-620 guidelines and engineering change orders.
- 8Follow EMC and cable-routing guidelines to ensure signal integrity and product reliability.
- 9Contribute to 6S, Kaizen, and waste-reduction initiatives in the assembly area.
- 10Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while meeting production schedules.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or GED.
- 21-4 years of hands-on manufacturing or assembly experience, including cable harness, electromechanical, or electrical assembly.
- 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
- 4Proven experience with soldering, crimping, wire routing, connector installation, torque tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- 5Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship standards.
- 6J-STD-001 certification or equivalent soldering experience.
- 7Skill in performing quality inspections, continuity checks, and defect recognition.
- 8Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.
- 9Preferred: WHMA-A-620 certification, IPC-620 defect recognition, or experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
