Overview

Own cable assembly and wiring harness fabrication for GPS and tablet hardware systems. You'll join a Hardware Engineering team in Framingham, building and testing custom assemblies from schematics. This hands-on bench role demands precision with crimping, soldering, and troubleshooting. You'll work Monday-Friday, 9-5, earning $20-$22 per hour.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Build custom wiring harnesses and cable assemblies from engineering schematics and assembly instructions.
  • 2Perform wire crimping, soldering, stripping, and cutting to exact specifications.
  • 3Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cable assemblies and wiring harnesses to resolve production problems.
  • 4Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • 5Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions to guide production.
  • 6Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, managing tools and materials properly.
  • 7Document assembly processes and maintain accurate production records.
  • 8Collaborate with engineering staff to identify process improvements and resolve production issues.

Requirements7

  • 11+ year experience with wire crimping, soldering, stripping, and cutting preferred.
  • 21+ year in cable assembly, wiring harness fabrication, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
  • 4Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • 5Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • 6Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • 7Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
