Overview

As a Cable Assembler you will own the build and validation of aerospace cable harnesses at scale within a precision manufacturing environment. You will join a collaborative team focused on quality and continuous improvement and work with advanced electronic assemblies for critical aviation programs. This role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to IPC Class 3 standards to ensure reliable performance in demanding environments.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build cable harnesses and assemblies using wiring diagrams and form boards
  • 2Perform soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and cable routing activities
  • 3Plug contacts into connectors and torque backshells according to specifications
  • 4Assemble products in accordance with IPC Class 3 quality standards
  • 5Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions
  • 6Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • 7Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other manufacturing equipment
  • 8Conduct continuity checks and verify assembly quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • 9Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements
  • 10Support testing, troubleshooting, rework, and modification of assemblies as needed

Requirements10

  • 1Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
  • 2Experience with cable harness assembly, soldering, crimping, and connector installation
  • 3Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • 4Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • 5Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • 6Ability to follow detailed instructions and established manufacturing procedures
  • 71-3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • 8Completed WHMA-A-620 Training or current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship
  • 9J-STD-001 Certification
  • 10Experience building cable harnesses in aerospace, aviation, defense, or electronics manufacturing environments
