Auto Body Refinish Technician, ADESA Body Shop & Paint Prep
Overview
Own prep work for damaged vehicles prior to painting and support the body shop team in daily production goals. You will tape, mask, and prep vehicles to meet customer expectations while maintaining a smooth flow of cars through the paint process. What You'll Do6
- 1Build prep workflow for paint readiness by taping, masking, cleaning and removing parts to meet customer expectations
- 2Maintain a steady flow of prepped vehicles into the paint process and support the body shop team to achieve daily production goals
- 3Assist with general shop duties including cleaning, driving, light organizing, and staging vehicles
- 4Communicate professionally with team members and customers to resolve inquiries and feedback
- 5Maintain productivity levels and uphold safety standards while using tools such as electric sanders, drills, buffers and air blowers
- 6Inspect and report any equipment maintenance needs or breakdowns to management
Requirements8
- 1High School or GED required
- 21 year automotive/auction experience preferred
- 3Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
- 4Ability to use common shop tools and equipment including electric sanders, drills, buffers, and air blowers
- 5Willingness to work in a high production/team environment
- 6Physical ability to perform medium to heavy manual tasks and stand for extended periods
- 7Must be able to pass a background check and not require visa sponsorship
- 8Ability to work onsite in Sanford, FL and comply with ADESA safety and procedural standards
