Overview

Lead the detail shop to achieve weekly production goals and high quality standards for customer vehicles. Own people leadership, performance management, and safety across a team of Detailer I and II. Drive operational efficiency, equipment maintenance, and cross‑department collaboration to meet deadlines and customer expectations. This role blends hands‑on supervision with strategic oversight in a fast paced automotive reconditioning environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and lead the detail shop staff to meet daily production targets while upholding quality standards
  • 2Design and implement staffing plans, training, and labor management to maximize productivity and engagement
  • 3Scale detail shop operations to hit production deadlines and profitability metrics
  • 4Own equipment and facility maintenance ensuring reliable operation and supply availability
  • 5Drive safety leadership by enforcing policies and conducting audits and inspections
  • 6Ship accurate, timely detail completions and post updates to customer accounts and systems
  • 7Coordinate cross department workflows to prep for production and upcoming deadlines
  • 8Develop and enforce compliance with customer contracts for vehicle detailing and quality
  • 9Communicate directives from leadership to the team to maintain morale and alignment
  • 10Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements9

  • 1Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience and 2 years of automotive experience
  • 2Prior leadership experience with direct reports and accountability is highly preferred
  • 3Auction and vehicle detailing experience is preferred
  • 4High School diploma or GED required
  • 5Proficiency with computer systems, applications, and metrics management
  • 6Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
  • 7Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
  • 8Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • 9Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and adapt to variable conditions
