Overview
You will own vehicle detailing and prep at a collision center, ensuring every car leaves with a showroom finish. Working alongside refinish technicians, you will wash, vacuum, disassemble, and prepare parts for paint. This role demands sharp attention to detail and a clean, organized station. What You'll Do8
- 1Wash and vacuum vehicles to showroom quality for customer delivery.
- 2Disassemble and assemble parts like bumpers, trim, and chrome for painting.
- 3Sand, mask, clean, and prime cars to prep surfaces for paint.
- 4Interpret written work orders to execute prep tasks accurately.
- 5Keep your workstation clean and organized, disposing of debris and damaged parts properly.
- 6Return warranty parts to the Parts Department for credit.
- 7Drive customers to work or home as needed, following safe driving practices.
- 8Follow federal, state, and local regulations for hazardous waste handling.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of detailing or auto body prep experience preferred.
- 2Valid driver's license in good standing.
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours daily.
- 4Experience with sanding, masking, and buffing tools.
- 5Knowledge of hazardous waste disposal protocols.
- 6Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 7Ability to work independently and under direct supervision.
- 8Comfortable working in a body shop environment.
