Porter - Auto Detailing & Facility Maintenance
Overview
You will own vehicle cleanliness and facility upkeep across a high-volume collision repair center, ensuring every car leaves showroom-ready. You are the final touchpoint before delivery, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Working alongside certified technicians and estimators, you keep the shop flowing by prepping vehicles for repair and handling post-repair detailing. This role suits someone with a sharp eye for detail who takes pride in a spotless workspace and reliable vehicle transport.
What You'll Do7
- 1Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs begin, focusing on removing debris and protecting surfaces.
- 2Perform interior and exterior cleanup of vehicles after repairs, ensuring paint, glass, and trim are spotless for delivery.
- 3Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for services like glass replacement or alignment, using safe driving practices.
- 4Maintain daily housekeeping in the office, including emptying trash, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas.
- 5Keep the production area clean by sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, and organizing tools and equipment.
- 6Manage parking lots and grounds, including shoveling sidewalks in winter and policing the exterior for a professional appearance.
- 7Support the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan by consistently executing the brand's cleanliness and customer experience standards.
Requirements9
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 2Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 3Age 18 or older.
- 41+ years of experience in an automotive shop or detailing environment preferred.
- 5Clear close vision for inspecting vehicle surfaces.
- 6Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and stoop throughout an 8-hour shift.
- 7Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and with exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- 8Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- 9Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
