Automotive Detailer, Collision Repair & Quality Prep
Overview
As an Automotive Detailer at ProColor Collision Phoenix, you will own the final quality check on every vehicle before it returns to the customer, ensuring a spotless, polished finish that reflects our collision repair standards. You will join a close-knit team of 12 technicians and production staff, working Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM at our Phoenix facility. This role offers paid vacation time, health care, and the chance to refine your detailing skills through buffing and polishing work on high-end vehicles. You'll be the last set of eyes, so your attention to detail and pride in work will directly impact customer satisfaction and shop reputation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Detail and clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including washing, vacuuming, and wiping down all surfaces.
- 2Prepare completed vehicles for customer delivery by applying final touches like waxing and glass cleaning.
- 3Inspect each vehicle before delivery and identify any quality concerns, such as scratches, dents, or missed areas.
- 4Perform buffing and polishing to restore paint finish and ensure a showroom shine.
- 5Notify management of any additional damage or repairs discovered during detailing, including dings, chips, or mechanical issues.
- 6Communicate issues that could affect quality or promised completion times to the production team.
- 7Follow the production schedule and complete all detailing tasks within allotted timeframes, keeping the workflow moving.
- 8Maintain detailing tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- 9Keep the shop and work areas clean and organized, including clearing trash and organizing supplies.
- 10Safely transport vehicles to vendors when needed, and assist the production team with any other duties as assigned.
Requirements10
- 1Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- 2Ability to safely drive customer and company vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
- 3Dependable attendance and punctuality, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- 4Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following directions and taking ownership of tasks.
- 5Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work around vehicles for extended periods.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
- 7Automotive detailing experience is preferred, including buffing and polishing techniques.
- 8Body shop or collision repair experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- 9Must take pride in quality work and be willing to accept constructive feedback to improve.
- 10A can-do attitude and willingness to help teammates wherever needed are essential.
