Automotive Paint Technician, Collision Repair
Overview
You own high-quality paint touch-ups and full surface repairs on 2.5 million vehicles annually. You travel to partner locations like dealerships and rentals, working independently with advanced spray equipment. This role is 100% commission with uncapped earnings, plus tools, supplies, and a company vehicle. You get ongoing training in PPG and BASF color matching systems. Your day stays in your control, with a supportive team and clear growth to Senior Tech.
What You'll Do8
- 1Travel to customer sites to perform paint touch-ups and full surface repairs using spray equipment and proven techniques.
- 2Prep, blend, and finish vehicle surfaces to match factory color and gloss.
- 3Work independently at dealerships, rental agencies, and auctions, delivering flawless results.
- 4Build rapport with customers and partners, ensuring satisfaction with every repair.
- 5Manage your daily schedule and route to maximize earnings and efficiency.
- 6Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for company tools and vehicle.
- 7Document work accurately and communicate with dispatch and customers.
- 8Stay current on PPG and BASF color matching systems through ongoing training.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in collision repair or bodywork.
- 2Strong attention to detail and color accuracy for perfect blends.
- 3Self-motivation and drive to succeed in a commission-based role.
- 4Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- 5Excellent communication skills and customer-first mindset.
- 6Physical ability to kneel, bend, squat, and lift up to 45 lbs.
- 7Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 8Willingness to wear a respirator as required by NIOSH standards.
