Auto Body Refinish Tech, ADESA Body Shop & Paint Prep
Overview
Own the prep work for damaged vehicles before painting and support the body shop team to hit daily production goals. You will prep vehicles with masking, cleaning, and part removal to ensure a smooth flow into the paint process. This role engages with teammates and customers in a professional manner and contributes to a busy, high-output shop environment. What You'll Do8
- 1Build a steady queue of prepped vehicles for the paint process to meet production targets
- 2Prepare vehicles for paint by taping, masking, cleaning, and removing parts with accuracy
- 3Assist with general shop duties including cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging
- 4Communicate professionally with team members and customers to resolve inquiries
- 5Maintain productivity levels and report needs for equipment maintenance or repairs
- 6Maintain equipment and tools and notify management of maintenance or breakdowns
- 7Follow and uphold all safety standards
- 8Other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1High School or GED required
- 21 year automotive/auction experience preferred
- 3Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
- 4Must meet company driving record requirements
- 5May be required to provide sufficient tools to perform the job
- 6Ability to work in a high production/team environment
- 7Willingness to use tools such as electric sanders, drills, buffers and air blowers
- 8Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- 9Ability to communicate with customers and team members in a professional manner
- 10Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and pass a background check
