Associate Patient Care Coordinator, Healthcare Office & Registration
Overview
The role owns patient registration and data accuracy at scale, serving as the first point of contact for patients and families. You will verify demographics and insurance, answer inquiries, and support billing questions in a compassionate manner. Work across hospital settings including ER, OR, Outpatient, Infusion, Maternal Child, and Transplant Services in a Phoenix area medical center. This position emphasizes precise data entry, patient experience, and cross functional collaboration. What You'll Do10
- 1Build patient registrations by collecting demographics and insurance data ensuring real time accuracy
- 2Respond to patient and caregiver inquiries with compassionate and respectful communication
- 3Utilize computer systems to enter and verify patient data in real time
- 4Check in patients, obtain demographics and insurance information
- 5Deliver and create patient estimates based on insurance benefits
- 6Answer billing questions and provide information to patients and families
- 7Collaborate with care teams to support patient flow and data integrity
- 8Maintain compliance with privacy and security requirements
- 9Support multiple hospital areas including ER and Outpatient as needed
- 10Ensure timely follow up on insurance verification and eligibility checks
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 26+ months of experience in an office or customer service setting
- 3Phone support or call center experience
- 4Basic proficiency with Windows PC applications and learning new systems
- 5Ability to work 9:00pm - 7:30am on Wed Thu Fri Sat
