Overview
You own patient access at a respected hospital in Mesa, AZ, handling registration for 20,000+ annual visits with rotating evening and weekend shifts. What You'll Do8
- 1Register patients upon arrival, collecting demographics and insurance data in EPIC
- 2Verify eligibility and benefits through Real-Time Eligibility systems
- 3Explain financial policies and collect copays or deductibles
- 4Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with clinical teams
- 5Scan insurance cards and ID documents into the Document Imaging system
- 6Resolve registration errors to prevent claim rejections
- 7Provide compassionate support to patients during stressful moments
- 8Maintain HIPAA compliance in all interactions
Requirements7
- 11+ year of experience in a healthcare setting
- 2Comfortable with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- 3Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
- 4High school diploma or equivalent
- 5Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 7Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance
