What You'll Do11
- 1Interview patients to collect medical and demographic information for admission records
- 2Answer admission inquiries and coordinate with nursing units
- 3Obtain Advance Directives from various patient populations
- 4Maintain 80% account accuracy and meet productivity goals of 20 patients per shift
- 5Complete shift logs and manage patient financial responsibility discussions
- 6Process deposits and co-payments for self-paying patients
- 7Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
- 8Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- 9Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- 10Provide directions within the hospital to patients and guests
- 11Collaborate with cross-trained staff across departments
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years customer service experience
- 2BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- 3M.A.B. certification required within 6 months of employment
- 4Physical ability to push wheelchairs and navigate hospital facilities
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 6Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and holidays
- 7Knowledge of HIPAA EMTALA Medicare regulations and insurance processing
- 8Experience with patient financial services and claim management
- 9Commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality
